Christmas On Social Media - Advice

Are you a music student who wanted to play Christmas carols for your instagram followers, but didn't have enough time to actually learn them? Is your fear of missing out on social media traditions making you miserable? You might think you're out of luck. Christmas is over! There's no time left to make Christmas music videos!

You are mistaken. Christmas might be over, but you have exactly six days to perfect one of the following weirdly obscure, old-timey New Year's songs!

The first song you might consider transcribing, learning, and then performing for 12 people on the internet is George Thorogood & The Destroyers ' "New Year's Eve Party". Not only is this song anything but catchy and difficult to cover , it will also remind people of our bleak reality. Just because 2020 is almost over, doesn't mean all of our problems will magically disappear. A song about a party back when they weren't just for rich people will really boost the mood of your 11 followers. They will appreciate your efforts.

Up next I found Barry Manilow's "It's Just Another New Year's Eve". After all those fun and upbeat Christmas songs, people are really going to want to sit down and just cry. Because crying is healthy, apparently, and so this song will really help with that.

The penultimate song I will suggest that you cover for your instagram story is ABBA's "Happy New Year". Once again, a difficult song to cover, but totally worth it if you can. People like kill-joys, that's just a fact. This song will definitely extinguish someone's buzz, and that's what you want. Remind people how things used to be, and make them nostalgic. Once again, crying is apparently healthy.

And the final song on my handy list for you is Irving Berlin's "Let's Start The New Year Right". For this, you will need church bells and a choir, but that should be easy to pull together for this video. Art requires sacrifices, and if you're not up for the task then you probably aren't taking your art seriously enough.

Please let me know if this was any help!
