You A Goat? (Capricorn)

How do you know if you or a loved one are actually a goat? I know. This is a difficult thing to face, to admit; but sometimes honestly gets us really far in life.

Goats can be found everywhere. That's because goats live everywhere. We all know that some of us are goats, but we never want to admit that it could be us or someone we love. After all, how could being a goat hit so close to home? It only happens to others, but never to us.

WRONG.

You might be a goat if you were born between December 22nd and January 20th, and you might be unaware, but others will definitely know and talk behind your back.

Don't let that get to you. People will talk smack about anyone who they don't like, and nobody likes anybody. An optimistic Capricorn would look at life from the bright side: we're all living beings and we all want to love and to be loved. And guess what? There's somebody out there for everyone!

Whenever you let those who spend time gossiping and spreading rumors hold you down, you're siding with the enemy and betraying yourself. Never look back at nasty people, whether or not you are The Goat. Chances are, you are the MVP, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop you. You are unstoppable. You are The Goat.

"Faces of Love" Feb 11, 2024: Music on the Hill Benefit

Vicky Ehrlich and Ava Soifer Something folks may not know about me is that not only do I love live music, I ADORE small performance venues that create intimate settings for enjoying the live music mentioned above. To further the plot, I am enraptured by house concerts and struggle to think of a house concert I have attended and walked away disliking. It seems that house concerts are by default enjoyable and provide an elevated form of intimate live music and entertainment lacking in our digital age.  February 11th I had the utmost pleasure of attending my first house concert since 2018, a benefit concert for Music on the Hill , a community-supported, non-profit chamber music organization presenting "high quality concerts at affordable prices".  "Faces of Love" was a vocal concert predominantly featuring pianist and music director of Music on the Hill Ava Soifer and two members of the internationally renowned vocal a cappella ensemble Chanticleer , bass Andy Berry an...

There’s Hope For New Music After All

I wrote this back in October when the latest Chopin banger dropped, right after the Mozart trio. I forgot about it immediately upon its completion, so am releasing it now for posterity with the understanding that it is outdated fluff. Morgan Library & Museum. New York, NY. "Late Spring." 2024.      Museum curator, composer, and scholar, Robinson McClellan, stumbles upon an inconspicuous piece of postcard-sized paper. Item No. 147. McClellan looks closer. It is a never before seen Chopin waltz, composed sometime between 1830 and 1835 for piano.  But wait. A new Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin leak in 2024? Didn't we just... Leipzig Stadtbibliothek .
